EdEvents Community Terms of Service
Last updated: 3 May 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the EdEvents Community website at ed.events (the "Site") and the EdEvents Alerts browser extension (the "Extension"). By using the Site or the Extension, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use them.
The Site and Extension are operated by Ed Events and Consulting Pte Ltd (ACRA: 202236748H), Singapore.
For information about how we handle personal data, please see our Privacy Policy - https://www.ed.events/privacy
1. The Basics
-
Eligibility. The Site is intended for users aged 18 and over.
-
Acceptable use. Use the Site lawfully and respectfully. Don't post content that is misleading, infringing, harassing, or unlawful, and don't interfere with other users' access to the Site.
-
Account responsibility. If you create an account, you're responsible for activity carried out under it.
2. Event Listings
EdEvents Community runs an events directory for the international schools sector. Anyone may submit an event for consideration through our submission form. Submissions are reviewed and managed in accordance with our Event Listings Policy (https://www.ed.events/event-listings-policy), which forms part of these Terms.
Review, not auto-publish. Submitting an event does not guarantee publication. All submissions are reviewed by EdEvents for relevance, quality, and fit. We may approve, edit, recategorise, or decline submissions at our discretion.
Editorial changes. We may edit listings for clarity, length, formatting, or accuracy without changing the substance of the event.
Submitter responsibilities. When you submit an event, you confirm that:
- The information you provide is accurate and current.
- You are authorised to list the event on behalf of its organiser.
- You hold the rights to any images, logos, or other materials you upload, or you have permission to use them.
Commercial events. Events submitted by commercial providers — including but not limited to vendors, EdTech companies, training providers, and conference organisers — go through our commercial listing pathway. If a commercial event is submitted under another category, we may recategorise it and direct the submitter to the commercial pathway. Pricing for paid listings is as published on the Site at the time of submission.
Removal. We may remove or un-publish a listing at any time, including (without limitation) where it is inaccurate, misleading, off-topic for our audience, infringes third-party rights, or breaches these Terms.
Follow-up communications. We may use the contact details you provide in a submission to follow up about that submission, including categorisation queries, edit requests, or commercial pathway information.
No endorsement. Listings on the Site are provided for the information of our community. Inclusion of an event does not constitute endorsement, and we make no warranty as to the accuracy or quality of third-party event content.
3. The EdEvents Alerts Extension
The EdEvents Alerts extension provides notifications of events drawn from the public EdEvents directory.
-
What it accesses. The Extension communicates with the EdEvents backend to retrieve public event data. It does not track your browsing, collect personal browsing history, or share data with advertisers.
-
Uninstalling. You can uninstall the Extension at any time through your browser's extension settings.
-
Governing terms. Use of the Extension is subject to these Terms in the same way as use of the Site.
4. General Site Use
Our content. All content on the Site that is not user-submitted — including text, graphics, logos, and code — is owned by EdEvents Community or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.
Third-party content. Event listings, school profiles, solution provider listings, and similar content originate from third parties. We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or legality of third-party content, and you should conduct your own due diligence before relying on it.
User-generated content. Where the Site allows users to post content (including comments, group posts, and submissions), you are responsible for what you post. We may remove user-generated content at our discretion.
As-is basis. The Site and Extension are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
Limitation of liability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, EdEvents Community is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site or Extension.
5. Changes and Contact
-
Changes to these Terms. We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Site or Extension after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
-
Governing law. These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore.
