EdEvents Event Listings Policy

Last updated: 3 May 2026

This policy explains how event submissions to EdEvents Community work in practice — what we accept, how we review, what each listing type means, and what to expect after you submit. It sits alongside our Terms of Service - https://www.ed.events/termsofservice

What we list

EdEvents is a directory for the international schools sector across Asia-Pacific. We list events that are useful to international school educators, leaders, and the wider sector — including school-led events, professional development, association and community gatherings, sector conferences, and events run by EdTech and learning solution providers.

Submission types

When you submit an event, you choose a submission type. The type tells us how to review and categorise the listing.

  • School Event — events organised by an international school: open days, parent sessions, professional development, school-hosted conferences.

  • Association / Community Event — events run by educator associations, networks, or community groups for the sector.

  • Commercial Provider Event — events organised by a vendor, EdTech company, training provider, or commercial conference operator. These go through our commercial listing pathway (see below).

  • Major Conference / Sector Event — large-scale conferences and sector gatherings.

  • EdEvents Partner / Sponsor Event — events run by or in collaboration with an EdEvents partner.

  • Other / Unsure — if you're not sure, choose this and we'll help categorise.

If we believe an event has been submitted under the wrong type — most commonly a commercial event submitted as community — we'll recategorise it and let the submitter know.

What it costs

School-led, association, and community events are listed at no cost. School featured listings are available to any submitter for USD $190. Featured events receive additional visibility on the Site and are applied selectively to maintain their value.

Commercial provider events go through our commercial pathway. Submitters can choose from:

  • Standard listing — USD $190, one-off.

  • Featured listing — USD $380, one-off. Featured listings receive additional visibility on the Site and are more selective.

Partnership conversation — for organisations — schools, associations, or commercial providers — with multiple events or ongoing visibility needs, we're happy to discuss an event partnership arrangement

When a commercial submission is received, we send the submitter the details of these options by email. Featured is not the default — providers can list at the standard tier without being featured.

How review works

Every submission starts with a status of "Submitted". It is not yet public.

We review submissions for:

  • Relevance to the international schools sector

  • Accuracy and completeness of the listing

  • Quality of the supplied image and copy

  • Correct submission type

We may make light edits to a listing for clarity, length, or formatting. We won't change the substance of an event without checking with you.

Once approved, the listing moves to "Active" and is visible in the directory. After the event date passes, it is archived. Submissions we can't accept are marked "Rejected", and we'll usually let you know why.

We aim to review submissions within a few working days. Please don't resubmit the same event multiple times — it slows everyone down.

Images

Every listing needs a 16:9 event image. To make this easier, we provide a Canva template link you can use directly from the submission form — design your own image, and upload it.

You confirm, when you submit, that you hold the rights to any image you upload, or have permission to use it. We may decline listings that use images we judge to be unsuitable, low quality, or potentially infringing.

What we don't list

We don't list events that are:

  • Unrelated to international schools or the education sector

  • Misleading, deceptive, or unable to be verified

  • Promoting products or services in a way that misrepresents them as community content

  • Infringing on third-party rights (copyright, trademark, image rights)

  • Otherwise in breach of our Terms of Service

We may remove or un-publish a listing at any time if any of the above applies.

Communication

When you submit an event, we may use the contact details you provide to:

  • Confirm the submission and its outcome

  • Ask follow-up questions about the listing

  • Send the commercial pathway details where relevant

We won't add submitters to general marketing lists without consent.
