TED and Google seek educators’ AI ideas for TED2027

TED and Google have launched a global search for educators with ideas about AI in teaching and learning. Announced for World Teachers’ Day on 5 October, the initiative will select five educators to develop and deliver talks on a community stage at TED2027 in San Diego.
The opportunity is open to educators working in primary, secondary and higher education who have first-hand experience using AI in classrooms or curriculum design. Applicants are invited to share approaches they have tested and refined, and insights into what those experiences mean for education.
Participants first complete a free, asynchronous 60-minute Idea Workshop, which helps them identify and shape an idea before submitting it to TED’s curation team. Completing the workshop also unlocks access to TED’s public-speaking course.
Submissions close on 15 November 2026 at 11.59pm US Eastern Standard Time. Educators from around the world may apply, but submissions and talks must be in English. Selected talks will also be shared through TED’s global platform.
