Become a certified Positive Discipline classroom practitioner at this two-day educator workshop hosted at the German European School Singapore (GESS).

Positive Discipline is an evidence-based approach that empowers teachers to guide children with kindness, respect, and firm boundaries. Instead of using punishment or rewards, Positive Discipline focuses on why children behave a certain way and helps guide them with empathy and encouragement because when kids feel connected and know they matter, they’re more likely to cooperate, take responsibility, and thrive.

About the workshop Facilitator

JOY MARCHESE is a leading global consultant, author, keynote speaker, and emotional architect with over 25 years of experience in education, wellbeing, and leadership development. As the Founder of Positive Discipline UK, she has empowered thousands of children, parents, educators, professionals, and leaders—creating environments where everyone can thrive.

Joy specializes in Social Emotional and Ethical Learning, developing courses and resources that foster emotional intelligence, wellbeing, and meaningful connection. She is the co-author of Positive Discipline for Today’s Busy (& Overwhelmed) Parent, a Lead Trainer for the Positive Discipline Association, and a certified trainer for Training from the Back of the Room—a brain-based learning approach that she applies in both educational and corporate settings to deepen engagement, enhance retention, and ensure practical application.

Joy equips school leaders, educators, and corporate professionals with research-backed tools to build emotionally intelligent, collaborative, and high-performing communities. Her work blends the science of learning with the art of leadership—empowering individuals and teams to foster environments where people feel a deep sense of belonging, psychological safety, and purpose.

In addition to her work in Positive Discipline and brain-based training, Joy is a facilitator and assessor for the Bridge Relational Model. Her passion for education, positive psychology, personal growth, and professional development fuels her mission to help individuals and organizations strengthen relationships, improve communication, and cultivate resilience.
