AI Training Group - 1st Meeting

To clarify the focus of this group, it's not really a development group, especially because AI is less about development, and more about pressing go and waiting for something to grow in a petri dish so to speak. It's about trial, experimentation, and failing, haha, lot's of failing.

What I hope this group will be, is an opportunity to:

a) consider what our fine tuned AI should do - i.e. what can't ChatGPT/etc do right now (or what would we like to explore and learn more about, we don't have to challenge the multi-billion dollar state of the art system)

b) what kind of data we need to make this work

c) how we can shape our data/what strategies we might use to make our data more valuable

d) building our dataset - setting responsibilities for people, and looking at how we can collaborate

e) we can run the training

For the training, we can rent some cloud hardware. 

Training mostly amounts to a single line of code that says the model to use, the dataset and the parameters, then waiting for a few hours/days for it to finish.

If you're joining us, please consider the following questions:

1) What do you want this new AI system to do? Think especially around content knowledge and the type of responses that it will give.

2) What kind of data do you have to give it? To make a real impact, we need thousands of examples - generally the more examples we have, the better it will be at generalizing what it learns.

3) What do you want to get out of this experience? I want to make sure that this is fun and fruitful for everyone involved.
